*Divorce Resource Realtors* is a coordination of affiliates that provide services & information to divorcing parties. Myself, Lee Sillemon III of Sillemon Real Estate & Investments Group (Lee D Realtor) Los Angeles, founder of Divorce Resource Realtors. When I got a divorce, I wish I would have come across a company like “Divorce Resource Realtors”. Our realtor was good, but he didn't offer us a cash offer for our home and his company didn’t have inventory for sale. He did list our property, but his company didn't offer a bridge loan so we could purchase our upleg home, before selling our downleg home or a cosmetic loan to assist us with repairs so we could receive top dollar, nor did he refer us to professionals such as contractors and legal services. It also would have been nice to have known about a Lease with a Right to Purchase Program which would have allowed us the opportunity to find separate housing to rent initially, but may also had the opportunity to buy within the next three to five years.
Collaborative law, also known as collaborative practice, divorce or family law, is a legal process enabling couples who have decided to separate or end their marriage to work with their lawyers and, on occasion, other family professionals in order to avoid the uncertain outcome of court and to achieve a settlement that best meets the specific needs of both parties and their children without the underlying threat of litigation. The process allows parties to have a fair settlement. The voluntary process is initiated when the couple signs a contract (a "participation agreement") binding each other to the process and disqualifying their respective lawyer's right to represent either one in any future family-related litigation.
